Hi there, my name is Pranav Rana. I am from India, and I work as a Support Engineer. My professional background is in Web Development, and I have worked as a freelancer (remote work) for companies around the world for over 10 years. My main source of projects is Upwork.com, which I still prefer over other platforms, and it has been working well for me so far.
I started out as a Web Developer, building custom web applications from scratch using the LAMP stack. I enjoy coding in pure PHP and am not a big fan of frameworks—I feel they overcomplicate the codebase. However, I am happy to use them if my clients prefer.
Recently, I have developed an interest in Game Development. I love the idea of creating new worlds straight from imagination. I have started learning Unity, and since I come from a PHP background, learning C# hasn’t been a challenge.
What is challenging, however, is understanding how 3D worlds behave—how a computer perceives and processes everything within them. This has been the most difficult part, and that’s exactly what fascinates me. The idea of using VR goggles to step inside a world I create is on another level of excitement.
I’m not entirely sure what I’ll be sharing in this blog yet—perhaps my journey of transitioning into Game Development along with showcasing my games here! 🎮
